Welcome!

My name is Christine Sheldon and I’m an Assistant Professor in Public Policy with the Bennett School of Public Policy, at the University of Cambridge. My research focuses on modelling political negotiations and deliberation using machine learning and generative AI, particularly through text-as-data methods and large language model based multi-agent simulations. I study how decisions unfold within democratic institutions, with the aim of advancing computational tools for understanding governance and improving public decision making.

Do have a look around on my website for more information, or reach out if you have any questions!
